During my Britbox binging weekend, I designed another card with a simple layout that can be used for a stamp-a-stack Christmas card. (You can see my first stamp-a-stack sample on the previous post.)

The plan was to watch all the new seasons of my favorite British mysteries on my Britbox free 7-day trial week, but after getting caught up in some new favorites, I am paying for another month in order to binge some more! Next on the watchlist is the 3-episode first season of "In Plain Sight", a true-crime story in early 60s Scotland.

For this card, I used a Crumb Cake card base instead of traditional vanilla or white:

Products used for this card:

  • Crumb Cake cardstock #120953

To make this card:
  1. Make the vertical card base with Crumb Cake cardstock, 4-1/2"x 11" folded in half.
  2. Cut another piece of Crumb Cake cardstock, 2-1/2"x 3".
  3. Cut two pieces of Cherry Cobbler cardstock, 2-1/8"x 3-1/8".
  4. Cut one piece of Very Vanilla cardstock, 2-1/4"x 2-3/4".
  5. Cut two pieces of  coordinating "Night Before Christmas" paper of your choice, 2"x 3"
  6. Cut one piece of coordinating "Night Before Christmas" paper of your choice, 1-1/4"x5-1/2" with a banner end punched or cut.
  7. Stamp the sentiment near the bottom of the Very Vanilla cut paper.
  8. Stamp the ornament on a scrap piece of Very Vanilla and color with matching markers. (If using watercolors, use a Blender Pen #102845 to finish the coloring.)
  9. Punch the ornament with the coordinating Gleaming Ornament punch.
To assemble:
  1. Attach the Designer Series Paper pieces to the Cherry Cobbler pieces.
  2. Following the sketch, place these pieces on the Crumb Cake base and adhere.
  3. Layer the ribbon paper piece in place and attach, leaving the ribbon unglued on the bottom by the cut to allow some dimension. If desired, add the gold brad at the top.
  4. Adhere the Very Vanilla piece with the sentiment on the Crumb Cake piece.
  5. Layer this piece on the top with Stampin' Dimensionals.
  6. If desired, tie gold twine on the top of the punched ornament and affix to the sentiment piece as shown.
  7. Once the card is all assembled, use the Wink of Stella or other glitter pen and color in the middle of the ornament and let dry.
  8. Voila! You did it! Great job, You.
