Stampin' Up: "Wrapped in Plaid" Stamp-A-Stack Christmas Cards
For those who haven't "stamped a stack" before, the concept is simple: choose a sketch (or another card) to copy, pre-cut all paper layers at once, stamp all sentiments at once and then assemble all at once.
Ready to start? You can take a variation of the card below, using the sketch, to make your own holiday stack.
Products used for this card:
- Whisper White (for card base and layers) and Shaded Spruce cardstock (to layer the sentiment)
- "Perfectly Plaid" stamp set
- "Wrapped in Plaid" Specialty Designer Series Paper
- Shaded Spruce striped ribbon
- Jingle Bells (plus gold twine of choice)
- Gems (try the Toile Tidings Glitter Enamel Dots, #150433, page 7 of Holiday Catalog)
- A border die or punch (I used one from the Delicate Lace Edgelits Dies, #147053).
- Stampin' Dimensionals (for the white layer or sentiment layer)
To follow the sketch, use these dimensions for cutting the layers and ribbon:
- White card base - 5-1/2"x 8-1/2" (folded in half)
- Plaid panel - 2-1/2"x 3-3/4"
- White panel - 3" x 4-1/4" (before punching/die-cutting the border)
- Sentiment panel - 1-1/4"x 3-3/8"
- Sentiment back panel - 1-3/8"x 3-1/2" in Shaded Spruce
- Ribbon - cut a piece 5' to 5-1/2" that can be wrapped around the panel and glued/taped.
Here is another version of the card, with different plaid paper from the Designer Series Paper pack:
