Glad Tidings Cards with Stampin' Up "Memories of Home" Stamp Set
There are so many cute Christmas papers in this year's Stampin' Up Holiday Catalog! The following cards use the adorable "Let it Snow" Specialty Designer Series Paper (page 20 of the catalog).
Besides traditional Real Red, this paper series also uses Blueberry Bushel, Coastal Cabana, Flirty Flamingo, and Shaded Spruce. Here is a sampling of some of the whimsy designs:
I also used the "Memories of Home" stamp set (page 33 of the catalog); the same set that was used for my previous post's card for the ornament and sentiment.

This Christmas tree stamp is a fun one to color. Now, I am not a fancy "colorer" with alcohol markers - I am still practicing - but here I used Stampin' Up Watercolor Pencils (#141709) in various colors, blending with a Blender Pen (#102845), giving quite good results. Once the entire card was assembled, I went back and added accents to the ornaments with a Wink of Stella glitter pen (#141897).
For the second card, I did simple layers on a white base card adding die-cut snowflakes made with the Christmas Layers Dies (#150654).

Even with a card like this that doesn't have many steps, extra touches can be easily added by embossing one of the layers and framing the sentiment with vellum as I did. Don't forget other embellishments such as ribbon, sequins, or gems.
