October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, so why not make an encouraging card to send to a friend or family member who is fighting through this dispiriting journey?

Regardless of chemo or other regimens they may be struggling through, reminding them that they can keep going, they shouldn't quit and that you are behind them is a message they need to hear over and over.

For this card, I simply used a template from Cricut Design Space, cut it out on Basic Black with the ribbon cut from a scrap of Blushing Bride cardstock. Retired Designer Series paper with a Valentine theme from the 2019 Stampin' Up Occasions Catalog was a perfect complement to this project, with matching Flirty Flamingo cardstock to frame the paper and make it pop on the white card.

To complete the sentiment, I sorted through my past Paper Pumpkin stamp sets and discovered one with the words needed -- so I cut up the stamp and made my own grouping on an acrylic block! When all was finished, I used my Wink of Stella pen to add glimmer to the ribbon.

Next time, I would frame the sentiment with Flirty Flamingo behind the black, or replace the black cardstock altogether.

The benefit of this template is that the ribbon can be made with any color used for cancer awareness!
