Button Up on a Christmas Card
I have a lot of buttons.
When I started scrapbooking, buttons were popular for page layouts, and that is when my collection began.
My buttons are now organized by color in these little spice jars from IKEA, and rest on the shelf by my desk. Included in the jars are other brads and little embellishments of the same color scheme, to make it easier to find what I need.
While making Christmas cards, I came up with an idea to use up some of my buttons. The finished product I ended up with was this button wreath card.
To make the wreath, I used glue dots instead of regular glue. The glue dots are quicker, not as messy, and I didn't have to wait for one layer to dry before starting the top layer.
Keep in mind that when mailing this card, it would be best to send it in a larger or padded envelope. Or, you can just use them for hand-delivered cards.
This paper is "This Christmas" DSP in the 2016-2017 Annual Catalog (#141628). The ribbon for the wreath was in my ribbon stash.
So the challenge today is: Do you still have loads of buttons in your stash? Use some today to make a similar card.
Like this idea? Pin it now for later!
